Exploring the Role of Diversity Management During Early Internationalizing Firms’ Internationalization Process

Despite their rapid internationalization, early internationalizing firms (EIFs) struggle to sustain growth over time. Among the factors influencing internationalization process, diversity of human resources, and particularly its management, has yet be studied. Building on different perspectives through lens resource-based view, this study explores role management during EIFs’ process. The results a multiple-case, qualitative French EIFs show that prevailing within change with nature as resource (strategic, ordinary, or negative), influences firms’ progress along phases findings highlight importance adopting learning perspective managing diversity, including specific practices, transition between entry post-entry This thus suggests several propositions theoretical contributions, managerial recommendations.
